Byote at Beauty West Africa 2025: A Highlight of Transparency & Clean Beauty
This year’s Beauty West Africa was a major moment for Byote and for the African clean beauty community. This year, we had the privilege of exhibiting our products under the African Botanics Beauty Association (ABBA) — a visionary platform founded by Ruqayya Tofa-Basheer. A platform championing clean beauty, botanical innovation, and ethical industry standards across Africa.
We displayed our signature simple, effective, and transparent formulations all rooted in nature and designed for mindful living. Visitors appreciated our commitment to clear ingredient communication and honest skincare.
The booth featured 10 incredible clean beauty brands:
Modara, Amariam, Chubado, Kayganics, Natural Nigerian, Raw Beauty, Fairy Favorites, Toriara Skincare, Byote, together there was a demostration of honesty in formulation, and depth behind Africa’s clean beauty movement.
Visitors interacted with natural skincare solutions, ethically sourced botanicals, wellness formulations, and innovative products inspired by African heritage. It was a proud moment to stand beside brands that champion purity, safety, and authenticity..

Violet’s Speaking Session: Why Transparency Matters
Founder of Byote, Violet Addy, spoke on one of the most important topics in today’s beauty space aat the confrence organized by Beauty in lagos.
“The Importance of Transparency in Product Formulation.”
She highlighted why consumers deserve clear information about ingredients, how transparency helps people understand product value, and why honest communication builds trust between brands and customers.

Transparency isn’t just a marketing line; it is the backbone of sustainable, safe, and ethical beauty.
And for a brand like Byote that is committed to toxin-free, nature-driven formulations it is a principle we live by every day.
“When people understand what goes into a product, they understand its value.”
We are grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every person who visited our booth or listened to Violet speak.
Byote remains committed to creating intentional, transparent, and earth-rooted products — and platforms like Beauty West Africa in partnership with African Botanics Beauty Association (ABBA) continue to give us the room to do so meaningfully.
We can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
Africa is rising in beauty, and we’re honored to be part of this movement.
